Hello,

I am fairly new to all this terrain building shit and just wanted to see if anyone had some insight as to what isgoing on. I am trying to import some map created in DayZ Editor from a friend and every time i import then, some objects load in the specified areas and some are floating. And it seems like most don't keep rotations either. I have tried them with "relative" and "aboslute" when importing them and nothing seems to fix it. How do i get all objects to align and snap to ground where they need to be when i import them?

So I exported my shape file from QGIS and when I import it into terrain viewer, there are portions that are missing. The shape file is fine but terrain builder isn't reading it properly or maybe because the shapes are not all enclosed, it isn't processing it correctly? Anyone know how I'd fix it?

Good evening everyone,

I have added several additional buildings etc. to the NWA/ Tisy etc.! So far that wasn't a problem, but unfortunately they are somehow inserted twice and I can't find why!

I have created the .map, created the .json and created the mapgrouppos.

In the CFGGameplay I referenced the custom folder of the .json.

Maybe someone has an idea what the problem could be.

Hi,

I'm sure this is a very simple question, but I can't seem to find the answer.

I've generated a map to the point it can be put into buldozer. Me and a friend plan to work on it, but how do I share parts/tiles of the map so that he can also edit them? My process of thought is, pass tiles to my friend while I work on others. Once completed, I take the tiles back to restitch them all together again. There may also be an alternative but I don't see a way to simultaneously work on the same map as a whole

I'm trying to create a map, and after watching several videos and reading up I've come as far as creating the actual terrain. Next step in the videos is running the data through PBOProject. After some initial problems with some png files, I've come far enough for it to do the binarize, but I get the warning

Map.wrp:validating...
warningP:\temp\Map\Map.wrp:EnvSounds quadtree is uncompressed

and it stops the generation there. I can't find anything on the 'net about this warning/error ... what do I have to do to fix this? I can't even find any file/directory called EnvSounds ... or entries in the config file ...

Hello friends, yesterday I uploaded 1.26 I have modified Terrian builer. But there was a problem all the Panel_Concrete_Small_1 objects that had their angle modified now got random rotation which caused that I have to redo all my builds now. I went back to version 1.25 and the problem was saved from 1.26. Thank you. because I'm afraid when you see the update all my underground bunkers will be unusable.Images

Good day.

I am following the tutorial on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KgE25NZ0lc&t=5097s) and have followed all the steps. I created a second map (much smaller) and it gives the same error when I launch Bulldozer.

Exception: Access violation. Illegal read by 0x7ff71032c1a5 at 0x0

Anyone know how to fix this? I have also run terrain builder in admin mode. Does not fix it.

So I'm making a map but the satmap is missing lines/pixels between the tiles. I've fixed the copying of tiles/stretched tiles at map borders with setting the desired overlap to 129 (256 actual overlap) and not it's creating these weird lines between tiles all over the map.
Same thing happens when I pack the map run in it DayZ.

Position in place in 75% of cases. But here, with the rotation orientation, 50% of the objects stand up normally, the rest turn in random orders.Basically, those who tossed and turned in the process of mapping move out.

Does anyone know my map is stretched on two sides and not lined up with the given map frame properties ? It doesn't matter how I import for example QGIS or L3DT, the issue is always the same.

Hi all,

I created a 20480 x 20480 map using Qgis and TB, everything went ok but AI do not function in the North and loot will now spawn there, the AI act like they are off the map, they just stand and shout at you but do not move or attack.

It seems the area that works is around 15k x 15k, which seems to be roughly chernarusplus size!

Do I have to tell the game somewhere what my mapsize is ??

Any thoughts ?

Secondly, I have created a Satmap, Mask & Heightmap in QGIS that are230000 meters by230000 meters, a large map, I am trying to create a map the size of Chenarus. I import mySatmap, Mask & Heightmap into Terrain Builder, add a MapFrame, set my Location Settings, but I am having problems with the Settings I need for the Sampler Settings. The settings I am unsure about given my map size are;

Terrain sampler

Grid Size (m): ?

Cell Size (m): ?

Terrain Size (m): ?

Satellite/Surface (mask) source images

Size (px): ? x ?

Resolution (m/px): ?

Satellite/Surface (mask) tiles

Size (px): ?

Disired overlap (px):

Texture layer

Size (m): ?

If anyone is able to spread some light on these settings and what I need to set them to given my map size it would be much appreciated.

I'm having problem with Buldozer. it fails to start on my map, also on Utes. Reinstalling tools and reextracting game data didnt help.
Error message: Can't compile "Game" script module
scripts/3_Game/humanitems.h(5): Multiple declaration of class 'HumanItemBehaviorCfg'

Im running Buldozer with standard parameters: `-buldozer -window -nopause -mod= -profiles=P:\Buldozer -name=Buldozer`

Anyone knows what can be couse of that error ?

I am new to editor and have just made a custom trader and Balota.
I am having issues with some of the props, the trader we initially used had fire barrel's and even after we replaced that trader the barrels still spawn.
2 of the props I added are spawning 1 inside the other after each restart causing players to have to open the door of a hummer 20 times and counting lol. I just replaced the hummer through editor and replaced the .dze file, the prop is still spawning.
Did I do something wrong? How do I fix this issue?

Good Morning All,

I have a unique terrain issue that has been making me crazy for months now and no one seems to want to attempt to point me in the right direction for troubleshooting. I've asked on a few different Map Discords with no response. So here it goes-

This issue only shows up on custom terrains I've made with L3DT standard and Terrain Builder - This does Not effect any of the official DayZ maps or any of the custom steam maps (I have 99% of the DayZ maps, Chiemsee, Namalsk, Deer Isle, Esseker, Banov, etc. installed on my home LAN server and they all work great)

My custom maps, one is 512mx512m the other is 5k x 5k - Both have ~15+ mods installed (DayZ Expansion, Rev Guns, Gebs Fish, etc) and everything works great - sun moon speculars and shadows all perfect, navmesh perfect, custom ground textures with sound effects mapped - perfect..... I really cant find any other issues but this one:

Any light source Other then the Sun or Moon works perfect Except when you look East the Terrain always has a dark shadow - The line is definitely North-South indicated by the compass heading at the top of my screen in the screenshots. This happens regardless if the ground textures are custom or DayZ Vanilla (the rock texture at the river is DayZ vanilla rock PAA).

Notice too that the shadow East issue is Only the Terrain and Not any of the Grass clutter or Objects, as seen in the Truck and Dunes pictures.

The Balota Airfield Screenshots show how the shadows Should look for comparison to Chernarus

The only hint I may have is that in L3DT standard you cannot make high res light maps - the option is greyed out and the Pro Trial Keys no longer valid- no response from L3DT.... Not sure if that has anything to do with the terrain East shadow. Theres also a script option in L3DT to ' Bake Light Onto Texture' ? Not sure if this would do anything, Any help greatly appreciated as this has had me stumped for months now!
