Windows 10 Lock Screen Photo Real World Location
Hi all, so the Windows 10 lock screen photo taken from within a cave and looking out to sea (photo below)
Does any one know where this actually is, as in, where would I go in the world to take this photo myself? Ta!

Re: Windows 10 Lock Screen Photo Real World Location
Holywell bay near Newquay has Gull rocks and also have a few caves to the left of the beach that would be a really good alternative location, I was stood in this cave a few weeks ago but the Camera was with the wife so I never considered a shot.

Re: Windows 10 Lock Screen Photo Real World Location
Just installed win 10. When I first saw the lock screen I thought cool, that's here in NZ, maybe the wallpapers are localised. Turns out no, but came across this thread when I was finding out.
It's the Archway Islands, Wharariki Beach (South Island). Cathedral Cove (North Island) is a little different.

Wow SOLVED! Archway Islands, Wharariki Beach (South Island, New Zealand). I'm a bit late to the party but thanks heaps for this info! Being from New Zealand I also thought it was localised when I upgraded to Windows 10 and thought "cool idea!!!" myself also thinking it was Cathedral Cove -though it did look slightly different. It finally got the better of me to search and confirm that it was from here, I thought someone had Photoshop-ed the angle. I never knew Cathedral Cove had a sister spot!! now I have a new place to visit myself CheersReply With Quote

Re: Windows 10 Lock Screen Photo Real World Location
Yeah I thought the same 2 years ago when I saw this. I have a lovely canvas hung up that I took at Holywell of the Gull rocks.

Re: Windows 10 Lock Screen Photo Real World Location
Sorry guys it is NOT Holywell Bay. npore was correct the actual location is:
ARCHWAY ISLANDS Wharariki Beach, New Zealand.Holywell's cave is similar shape but the islands are completely different. If you look at this photo it is not "nearly the exact same image" it is the same image
Google - Sea Cave and Archway Islands Wharariki Beach
Thanks npore!
